It’s hard not to be impressed by the chemistry they are displaying on this EP. They fuse styles, don't self-indulge and know when to restrain for the betterment of the song. - The Equal Ground

Bio
Mammoth Murmur is a folk-fusion band, hailing from Boston MA. The band formed in early 2013 when they met at Berklee College of Music. Influenced by musicians like Grizzly Bear, Zero 7, The Beatles, and Eliott Smith, their sound is characterized by smokey vocal harmonies and soulful violin. The songs have a distinct jazzy-folk sound that characterizes Mammoth Murmur. They released their first EP, Mammoth, in August of 2013, and have performed in the Boston/Cambridge and Manhattan scenes. Their new single, This Whole Time, releases this Halloween (2014). Their full length album is set to release in 2015.
Singer-songwriter Jacob Aviner is the primary songwriter, bringing folky--yet jazzy--songs to the group. Claire Goh, brings out an indispensable, edgy yet beautiful angle of the songs with her violin and smokey vocals. Will McGing aka Razr Blade lays down the groove with his chin-digging funky bass, while Andrew Peck gives the band its driving, indie/jazz/rock vibe with his flawless drumming.
