What an unexpected boost in the career of the newcomer band Mañana: They contribute a song to the soundtrack of the most successful computer game worldwide, "Fifa Soccer 05".
A true rock `n`roll fairytale took place at this years Midem in Cannes, the biggest European Music fair. The production company EA Sports held a listening session in search of songs for the soundtrack of the latest edition of their Fifa computer game. By a fluke, Mañana's management "Inside Agency" heard of the listening session and delivered their demo of the song "Miss Evening"
last-minute. Two weeks later, the consent from Canada arrived: As the first band from Switzerland, Mañana will appear on the worlds biggest computer game alongside international acts such as Air, Franz Ferdinand or INXS.

BASEL based band MAÑANA is among a diverse group of independent musicians named as FINALISTS of the 7th Annual Independent Music Awards. Mañana's music is a mixture of melodic indie-pop with experimental elements, drawing their inspiration from Doves, Now It's Overhead, Radiohead, Unbelievable Truth and other groundbreaking acts of recent years. Miss Evening, their signature song of the first EP “Fast Days”, is on the videogame „Fifa Football 2005" (EA Sports), which has made it possible for the band to develop a global following. Mañana
are five young promising musicians from Basel, Switzerland. The band has played gigs with acts such as Keane, I Am Kloot, A-Ha, Mew, Belasco and Hooverphonic. Miss Evening, their signature song, is on the videogame „Fifa Football 2005“ (EA Sports), which has made it possible for the band to develop a global following. Mañana's music is a mixture of melodic indie-pop with experimental elements, drawing their inspiration from Doves, Now It’s Overhead, Radiohead, Unbelievable Truth and other groundbreaking acts of recent years. On their first *sold out EP Fast Days, the band combined dreamy melodies with sudden emotional outbursts - songs soaked in melancholy, but deeply optimistic at the same time. The powerful and lamenting voice of Manuel gives these emotions their direction and the band a unique identity.
