Bio
Mandi Powell is a singer/songwriter from Houston, TX. A nativeTexan, Mandi started performing alongside her mother at the ripe young age of 3. In the spring of 2009, Mandi decided to pick up an old guitar her mother had lying around and she hasn't looked back since. Her broad range and her seemingly effortless ability to not paint herself into a genre corner have gained her reputable success. She released her debut album titled "Canvas," in the summer of 2012. Like most first albums, hers was produced on a small budget, but that didn't stop it from gaining attention among the Texas Music scene. In September of 2012, Radio Free Texas named it "Album of the Month."
In the summer of 2013, Powell was nominated for "Best New Female Vocalist of the Year" by BigStar 97 Radio in Ft. Worth, TX.
Currently, Mandi is in the studio wrapping up her sophomore album due for release this spring.
