Man Get Out

 Liverpool, England, GBR
BandRockPop

Man Get Out have attracted a solid national following due to their stage presence, eclectic set and frequent radio exposure. Their music provides a dynamic bed of sound to support some solid three part vocal harmonies.

Biography

At once rhythmical, reflective and melodic, Man Get Out burst forwards in many colours. Surprisingly deep and effortless, their sound is electric their lyrics thoughtful. Dance and debate - these five Liverpool musicians make you think and stink.

Ellenberg’s voice is soulful, vengeful, roughly drunk and drunkenly sweet. Clever and witty lyrics, proverbial phrases and punchy declarations of joy stand him apart. Ever present, Lowton plays bass searchingly and brutally, Chris knocks out a rhythm on drums like he’s the lead, then at times retreats to beats that are subtle, sharp and uniform. Owen is ever innovative and instrumental on piano mixing an eclectic mix of effects, which are playful, jazzy and pure music hall. Lars refines the lineup with astute, melodic guitar ingenuity with distinctive vocal harmony.

2011 saw the band achieve their fist national airplay on BBC Radio, championed by Janice Long who invited them to do a live session at her show after seeing them rock the stage at Hoxton Underbelly in June. The band has had high profile support slots throughout the country including Deaf School, Geva Alon and the Wild Swans.

28th January 2012 Man Get Out released their new single 'Berlin' to raptous reception at Liverpool's Mojo sponsored by drinks company Jeremiah Weed.

Ever since the first time we met,
Felt you were hiding something,
Just come out, and say it loud and clear,
That you think that I'm a threat,
Aint gonna hide it from you,
Watch us now, as I'm coming for you.
Why are you stuck in the past? Its not gonna change a single thing, I'm still coming for you, I'm still coming for you...

So get out of my way, get out of my face.

Walking around like everyone owes you the world
Could be yours but you still think it owes you so much,
Are you proud of all you accomplished?

You used to look at me kind of strange,
Like you wanted something,
More from me, that I couldn't give you,
When we used to get on so well,
We got closer and closer,
But I always had that small suspicion,
We were really on different sides,
You had a different game-plan,
Watch us now, as I'm coming for you, I am coming for you.

So get out of my way, get out of my face.

Walking around like everyone owes you the world
Could be yours but you still think it owes you so much,
Are you proud of all you accomplished?

Speculation forming in my mind as we hit the stage,
To show what we've been working on this time...
And I'm down with you all for coming round but I'm losing touch,
The ticking of clocks is in a rush.

And don't you know, we've got it all...
Opinions for opinions sake.
Our foundations will never fall,
Go in your only way.

Cos' if you like flames,
Join me in my lonely world 'cos you know that I'm on fire.
If you like flames, join me in my lonely world.

We watch as they come and go but don't last the test of time,
They rise right up and fall back down,
And we are playing our heart out but what does it take?
Talent? Sex Appeal?!

And don't you know, we've got it all...
Opinions for opinions sake.
Our foundations will never fall,
Go in your only way.

Cos' if you like flames,
Join me in my lonely world 'cos you know that I'm on fire.
If you like flames, join me in my lonely world.

Cos' if you like flames,
Join me in my lonely world 'cos you know that I'm on fire.
If you like flames, join me in my lonely world.

What's She Sayin?

Written By: Man Get Out

Everybody else is asleep now,
Quiet as you walk,
Takes out his little powder,
And lines it up...

And his jaw is all over the floor (you know)
And before you come back down (to earth)
You might wanna check yourself out,
Confidence riding high now,

Charmer, he thinks he's a charmer, but not in my eyes.
Don't get ahead of yourself, she's not fine,
But she looks like a bride tonight.

She gets wetter and wetter and wetter,
as she stands in the pouring round,
She looks hotter and hotter and hotter,
until she's there again.

It only takes him a moment, to calculate,
Which way, which direction, which road to take.
'Cos he only gets one type of girl (you know)
The one who lets him inside (her thighs)
Her dignity is uncalled for, all she wants is some love.

Charmer, he thinks he's a charmer, but not in my eyes.
Don't get ahead of yourself, she's not fine,
But she looks like a bride tonight.

She gets wetter and wetter and wetter,
as she stands in the pouring round,
She looks hotter and hotter and hotter,
until she's there again.

In silence they lay there divided, sensations are dying,
But will never burn through, it's me and you, you and me, tonight... as she gets....

Fall away, with ourselves.
Tell me is there time for one more chance?
This is no one's business but ours, no one's business but ours.
The seams of my soul slowly fell apart.

The seams of my soul slowly slip apart.

So come on over to my world,
You know I'll show you what I'm all about.
So she led me in, I layed her down, said bye to my soul, ignite my flesh.

Why don't we do something?

How much safety did I keep?
How many thrills shall we seek?
How long are we to keep this our own?
The seams of our souls slowly fell apart, I'm sorry how things were at the start. how long are we to keep this our own?

Why don't we do something?
