"Rock and Roll is Good for the Soul" 2006 4 song EP

Feeling a bit camera shy

Manhands started in the spring of 2006 when singer and guitarist Josh Chambers invited his friends, drummer Sean Wakefield and guitarist Daniel Poole to jam out a few songs that he had written. The trio quickly realized they had some serious potential, but they needed a badass bassist to complete the group. A Conneticut native answered an ad in the Chronicle, and after demonstrating his formidible four-string prowess, Brian Cullen made Manhands a four piece.

Manhands is a straight-ahead rock band. They've been compared to the Black Crowes, AC/DC, Jet, and the Toadies. Their energetic live performances have made Manhands one of the hottest new bands to come out of the live music capitol.

After only a month as a band, the guys entered a local battle of the bands. Competing against 40 rockin' Austin bands, Manhands came out ..1! Since then the group has recorded a 4 song EP with the help of Black Ocean Productions and Atlasta Studio, and they've added the very talented Jeremy Fleck on keys.
