Manolis Kottoros
He was born in Athens in 1980 and he is living there.
He studied classical violin and he has a degree in Byzantine music from "Ellinikon Conservatory" and a degree in Harmony of Music from the "Nikos Skalkotas Conservatory". He continued his studies at the "Achaiko Conservatory of Polyphony" from where he obtained the Diploma in Byzantine Music with grade"Excellent". Since his very early age he showed a special interest in the Greek traditional music studying it next to the greatest folk music instrumentalists and he has been a music partner to the most representative Greek folk singers. He also co-operates with many popular artists participating in a lot of concerts and festivals in Greece and abroad (eg.France,Italy,Netherlands,Slovenia,Egypt,Turkey,Cyprus,Kanada,Argentina etal.). He has taken part both as a violinist and a singer in a numerous of Greek music cds and in many tv shows. He has also made the musical supervising and orchestration for the cds "Songs and tunes from the Agathonisi","Traditional Songs from Cyclades" and he has published two personal album "South Sporades-Music from Dodecanese" and "Sea’s song".
