Manolo Remiddi (Biography)
Producer / Mixer / Engineer
Manolo has traveled along an interesting and intense learning path. Whilst he was studying art in college, he started a 3 year course of modern guitar and modern music arrangement at the University of Music in Rome . 1993- special critics mention for Best Musical Arrangement at the "International Spring Festival of North Korea ”
At the same university he studied classical music composition as well as sound engineering for 2 years. During this time he also played guitar in a rock band (Danze Ufo) and worked freelance as a live sound engineer for different Venues ( Italy ). 1995- He won third prize for the International Competition of Electronic Music "Luigi Russolo" In1998 Manolo produced and mixed the first EP of Camera Sonora.
After 2 years of extensive gigging and recording he returned to study, this time for ‘International Advanced Master Course in Electronic Music' at Academy of Pescara, Italy (grade: 10/10). During his Master, Manolo has been teaching Computer Music (Pro Tools), Acoustic/Architectonic acoustic and sound design at Music Conservatory of Bari, Benevento Italy (EU).
He moved to London in September 2000 and has worked as a freelance Mixer / Engineer / Producer at Rossiter Road Studios and taught Sound Engineering at the College of North East London.
Manolo has recently produced and mixed the debut Ep by the Noisettes on Taste Media. He is currently working on a selection of different projects. Robbie Craig: new Album (mixer), Bongo Brothers: first Ep (co producer/mixer), OutSider: First Album(mixer/ mastering).
Other mixing credits include sound engineering for Romina Johnson, Jocelyn Brown, Barbara Tucker, Angie Brown, Kym Mazelle, Taka Boom, Brian Allen, Jill Scott, Delta Goodrem and more. Manolo has also been mixing vocal tracks for the debut album of Z-STAR on Virgin Records.
In the last couple of years Manolo has engineered, mixed albums and co-produced singles for Bacci Bros Productions.
Currently he is teaching at the London School of Sound.
