Bio

Mansone Batez biography:

1991: I formed a group called “the Hoodz” with my childhood friends Fret Black, S.O.S. and others. We put out two singles and did shows throughout the tri-state, but never put out an album in the years. By 1994 I was signed to International Bad Boy Records, which later became Blunted Records. I was later released from the label due to problems from within. Meanwhile, I was being managed by Star Light, a management agency founded by Paris Fawonda, the A & R representative for the label. I kept recording record after record.

1995: I got down with my uncle, Doug E. Fresh, and started writing with him and my lifetime friend Illacoin. Together we collaborated on numerous projects. I also teamed up with Doug E. and the “Get Fresh Crew” to co-write the lead song, “Superstitious” for a 1996 blockbuster film titled “The Sixth Man”.
Later that year the album “Play” came out on Gee Street Records. Hits from this album included “Where’s the Party?” , “It’s On”, “Freaks” ft. Little Vicious and the Harlem USA anthem “Aight”. This experience gave me a taste of the hip-hop industry. I also performed on “Get the Money” and “A Breath of Fresh air” ft. Illacoin, & R.I.P K-superior. I later went on to make records of my own.
1998: I signed an indie deal with Cee-Low Records, soon after I put out my first solo single called “Thuggparalized” along with a video. I spent at more than a year and a half on the label. After a bad business deal, I got released from the label.
2000: I formed different cliques until I settled down with a new team: “Anger-M”, a group of emcee’s that are prepping at this moment.
2010: After years of artistic development and reconstruction, I built myself up stronger than ever. Signing with my uncle, “Shakdawgs” record label Diggydime Music, I currently recorded my up-coming album titled “Mr. Batez” and shot two videos titled “ the Best Thing” and “Ya Dig” ft. don Vicious (formerly known as lil, Vicious). The current album is set to drop 4/29/11.
