Manufactured Defects

BandRockPop

High energy rock pop music with strong rhythmic hooks and solid melody lines. We mix up our style so that our fans ears don't get burnt out.

Biography

I'm going to keep this short and sweet! Our biggest influence in our music sound and style is just the best of pop and rock music. There are way too many bands and artists that make all that up! We focus on who we are as individuals, in a band because no one person is just like another, and the music is pop! We do a good job for the box pop leaves us! Our story is this, we were all orphans with no homes and or dreams only having each other and a radio we found in the inner city garbage can that had a tape in it that only played Bob Dylan! The music saved us!

Lyrics

Melody Harmony

Written By: Joshua Foster

Got the DJ to play the song,
He says it's a number one,
It’s history being made.
A&R says it’s dreadfully great
Sign the dotted line and you just might get paid.

People tell me “You’re a sell out,”
I tell them “Every show.”
And rumors got it that I sold my soul.
You hate the bubble gum pop,
But you never stop singing every word you know.

(Chorus)
I, I, I love the melody,
But I just can't see us making any harmonies.

No more songs about girls,
How they destroy worlds
And spend every dime you get paid.
“Can't you be more original?
Something like the Beatles?”
“Ok, hey, but who are they?”

People tell me “You’re a sell out,”
I tell them “Every show.”
And rumors got it that I sold my soul.
You hate the bubble gum pop,
But you never stop singing every word you know.

(Chorus)

This might be a one hit wonder, but now I've got moneys to splunder.

(Chorus)

Sweet Groove

Written By: Joshua Foster

What a nice surprise,
You got me glitter eyed,
The initiator’s on a roll.
1234 play all day, satin sheets are for Sundays,
Now I think it's time we reach our goal.
She says “Touch me, yeah.”

(Chorus)
Come on baby come on baby come on lay on down,
Come on lay on down, come on lay on down, she says.
Come on baby come on baby come on lay on down,
Come on lay on down, is such the sweet sound.

I be king of this mountain,
Close your eyes and just imagine
What this ride for you could have in store!
Rub-a-dub inside the tub
Just for fun and all for love
Now go back repeat steps 1 through 4.
She says touch me ya.

(Chorus)

Giddy Up and Dance

Written By: Joshua Foster

You’re at your high school dance,
She’s giving you that glance.
She’s not with anybody, she’s not with anybody.
You’ve got the butterflies,
But boy they’ve got to die.
The girl is looking stunning, the girl is looking stunning.

She's wondering when you're going to ask her.

(Chorus)
Come on dance, come on dance come on giddy up and dance,
Get that girl up on the floor get her begging you for more.
Come on dance come on dance come on giddy up and dance,
This might be your only chance so come on boy, giddy up and dance.

You're in the hottest club,
You're looking like a stud.
They got the music bumpin', they got the music thumpin'.
She's in her favorite dress,
She's giving it her best.
Tonight you're out of money, tonight you're out of money.

(Chorus)

When are you going to ask her?
Come on boy, giddy up and dance.

(Chorus)

I Told You So

Written By: Joshua Foster

Is this the first time that we've met?
I swear I've seen you here once before.
Déjà vu, I must have confused you with someone else.
I've got no place I need to go,
You say you’d like to get to know me more.
That seems OK, until the day I lay it all out.

You see, I've been down this road before
And I'll take it too far, and by the time I'm done you won’t want me anymore
And you'll ask me why, in return for you I'll have no reply.

(Chorus)
And I'll keep running away and you'll keep asking me “please, please won’t you stay.”
And I'll ask you why you care about me,
and though it’s far from fair I don't know if I care you care.

You seem to like my pathetic story,
I find it funny you don't find it boring,
You say “Hey, why don't we play this thing all the way out?”
My life's a bad reality T.V. show
You'll soon see just how I roll,
Don't let me break your crown.

You see, I've been down this road before
And I'll take it too far, and by the time I'm done you won’t want me anymore
And you'll ask me why, in return for you I'll have no reply.

(Chorus)

Don't take this the wrong way, you see I think you’re lovely.
Please believe me when I say a heart can be so easy to break.
Need I say more?

(Chorus)

No I don’t know if I care.
Why care when I don’t know why it is you care.

One Step

Written By: Joshua Foster

They call me Mr. Maze
Cause every step I take
There’s always a wall in my way.
I’ve got a history--
I’ve got a history of lemons
That’s why I like lemonade.

(Chorus)
I’m only one step up from the bottom (I’m only one step)
One step up from the bottom (I’m only one step)
One step up from the bottom.

And so the story goes
If I didn’t have bad luck,
I wouldn’t have no luck at all.
I walk with my head down
And just the other day I found a nickel on the ground.

(Chorus)

Hey, hey, what’s with all these Crazy Eights?
It tastes like this one takes the cake.
A spoonful of sugar, sugar,
It would be great.
So I’ll take that shot of easy any day.

I’m only one step (One step).

(Chorus)

Hey, hey, what’s with all these Crazy Eights?
It tastes like this one takes the cake.
A spoonful of sugar, sugar,
It would be great.
So I’ll take that shot of easy any day.
