Hannah's Just A Girl

Written By: Manwar Amery

Hannah's just a girl who likes to laugh and play
Given half a chance, she could do it all some day
But she has a little thing that just won't go away
Go away
And with a little help, you know, she might just find a way
Find a way

If she had her way, she'd ride her bike around
Gather up her pills, throw them to the ground
But she knows it's not like that, it's never quite as easy as it sounds
But she has a lot of hope that a cure is really out there to be found

Hannah's just a girl, just a little girl
Hannah's just a girl, just a little girl
Hannah's just a girl, just a little girl
Hannah's just a girl, just a little girl

Oh and she deserves a chance to go out and see the world
See the world

They say they've done their best, there's nothing they can do
Dismissing every quest for trying something new
They've condemned her to a life of abject misery
Misery
Oh that's pretty cavalier when the girl is only three
Only three

Well Hannah's just a girl, just a little girl
Hannah's just a girl, just a little girl
Hannah's just a girl, just a little girl
Hannah's just a girl, just a little girl

Oh and she deserves a chance to go out and see the world
See the world

Every day, every night, getting tired from the fight
Every night, every day, ketogenic the same way
All the love that she inspires
All the help she requires
Temperature's getting higher
Burning up just like a fire

Hannah's just a girl, just a little girl
Hannah's just a girl, just a little girl
Hannah's just a girl, just a little girl
Hannah's just a girl, just a little girl

Oh and she deserves a chance to go out and see the world
See the world

Yes and she deserves a chance to go out and see the world
See the world.

Just One Wish

Written By: Manwar Amery

"It's just another bump along the way"
I thought I heard her say
"As soon as I get over this,
I'll get back to the things I miss"

She'll let you know that she's the boss
When she's riding motocross
And when she's strapping on the blades
The competition fades...

If I had just one wish
If I had just one wish
If I did, you know that it would be for Trish

With all that she's had to endure
She has a heart so pure
When little things drive me insane
She's never once complained

If I had just one wish
If I had just one wish
If I did, you know that it would be for Trish

It's so hard not to think about her
It's not that I would ever doubt her
When she says "things will be just fine"
But concentration is an issue
Can't help it 'cause I really miss you
I think about you all the time

If I had just one wish
If I had just one wish
If I did, you know that it would be for Trish
It would be for Trish
It would be for Trish
It would be for Trish

Little Feather

Written By: Manwar Amery

Gather 'round one and all
I've got a story to tell you
And it won't take long
Well it's about a little Indian girl
Named Little Feather, and a lesson she would learn

It began on the Reservation one day
Her grandfather warned her
This is what he had to say
"Little Feather, you've grown into a beatiful girl
And now it's time you learned about
The white man's cold, cruel word

Watch out! Don't go to their towns
They will tease you and follow you around
They will use you and offer you gold
And when they're through with you, sweet child
They'll throw you out into the cold"

It's a shame how the young soul thirsts for ephemeral glory
Can't see the forest for the trees, it's the same old story

Well you know how young girls are
Sweet visions of beauty and wonder
Little Feather had forgotten what her grandfather told her
She was only sixteen when she made up her mind
She was going to the city, her visions made her blind
Blind, blind, blind!

Every time I think about what they did to her
The rage builds up inside when I realize she's dead
She was still sixteen when they found her body in the river
I wonder if she remembered what her grandfather said
