Mao’s debut EP “So Simple” is fun, catchy and filled with emotion. Each and every song will start your foot tapping. Produced by Daniel Betancourt (who's co-productions have merited 7 Latin Grammy Award nominations), this album has been recorded in Miami in both English and Spanish.
The drums on the album are played by Grammy Award winner Lee Levin, who is credited in over 1000 recordings for renowned artists like Ricky Martin, Backstreet Boys, Kelly Clarkson, Pink, Nelly Furtado and Christina Aguilera, to name a few.
“So Simple” is Mao’s tangible dream. It represents his personal conclusion of what is really important in life. Mao graduated from a reputable University in Colombia and worked as an Engineer until deciding to make a life change to pursue his passion for music.
Eager to share his music with a message, he is now promoting his debut EP in the United States, Colombia, Mexico and Canada with his first single “Take me back to you”. This song is currently contracted to a German TV
commercial.
Born and raised in Medellin, Colombia, Mao has spent the last 10 years living between Mexico, Toronto and Montreal where he currently resides. Over the last three years, he has played several shows where audiences have since expressed that Mao’s music is joyful and heartfelt.
