MARBELLA

MARBELLA is a fusion of musical rhythms that stroll through Bossa Nova, Samba, Salsa and World Contemporary Music.

Lead by the Brazilian Singer/Songwriter Caro Pierotto, the band participates actively in the Los Angeles music scene, having performed in world renowned venues such as ‘The House of Blues’ and ‘The Roxy’, toured throughout California, Mexico, Brazil and recently, London.

Presently on it’s third formation and together since December 2008, the band just released their first full length album named ‘Volta ao Mundo’.

The album is a collection of 10 original tracks sang in Portuguese that were written by Caro, the Guitarist/Songwriter Antonio Cruz and the Drummer Simon Carroll and recorded in Glendale, CA at Coney Island Studios, where legends like Bill Withers and James Taylor have recorded previously.

‘Volta ao Mundo’ was engineered and produced by the Colombian Alberto Lopez, recently awarded with a Latin Grammy for his work with the band ‘Quetzal’ and mixed by the American Latin winner Joel Soyffer.

Having in its influences the music of Ojos de Brujo, Sade, Maria Rita, Alex Cuba, Sara Tavares, the songs illustrate the different colors of Caro’s full of personality voice.
