Marble Garden

Marble Garden

 Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA

Marble Garden is a one-of-a-kind Jam-Band. Two guitar wizards lead the band, slide player Angelo Santelli and young Leroy Horn. Leroy also boasts powerful, blues-drenched vocals that are backed by a tight and funky rhythm section that brings the tasty beats. Just listen to the music and see!

Marble Garden is a funky and delightful Jam-Band outta Kalamazoo, MI (might as well be space). Their blazing twin leads and hot slide guitar licks have been turning heads since 2007, and with an always tasty rhythm section Marble Garden has a sound that is continuously fresh.

The band has had great success with their blues roots and played in Memphis, TN, all up and down Beale Street at places like B.B. King's for the 2009 International Blues Challenge. Between that, the group has played great festivals like the Old Town Blues Festival in Lansing, MI (Crowd of 5,000+), the Kalamazoo Blues Festival and the St. Louis Blues Festival, to name a few.

Not to ride on just one genre, The MG's play a fantastic blend of funky and fusion-like music and have opened for such acts as Devon Allman's Honeytribe, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk and Lonnie Baker Brooks. Angelo Santelli has performed as a sideman to Berry Oakley Jr, son of founding Allman Brothers Band member as well. The band's 3rd release is due out in early 2011!

Set lists vary every night. We have a solid array of original material, but it is not uncommon for us to break out some of our favorite or unusual covers, especially at long shows.
