Marc Cornaz

My name is Marc Cornaz, I'm 19 years old, and I am now a follower of Jesus Christ. I wasn't brought up in a christian home or anything. My parents never talked about God. So i never knew who or what he was. At the age of 15 I got kick out of home, because i discovered this Drug called Marijuana. Which took hold of my life for about three years. Also other Drugs that came in with that. So for three years i got high as a kite everyday, smoking and drinking all my troubles away. Playing in bands and gig which were meaningless, just for the pure fact of getting attention and building up some pride about myself. Life wasn't going good. Getting in trouble all the time, getting in debt, and rotting my body away with drugs. Then at the start of 2012 I went to this Christian festival called Parachute. I had already been a couple of times. Just too see the bands and feel kinda good afterwards, "because of the presence of God". Any who, On the last night of this festival, This worship band had just came out with there new two disc album. One was just an instrumental worship, and they were playing it on the last night. I was walking past the area they were playing and decide to go check it out. I wasn't going too but something in me made me go in. Everyone was lying on the ground and listening and worshiping. I laid down and close my eyes. In my head i started saying stuff like " help me God , I don't know if your real or who you are, " I'm sick of living this life and not knowing the meaning of it". My eye lids started to flicker. Then this huge white light came out of no where and filled my Body with the Holy Spirit. There was no other lights in this hall, it was just all candle light. so i knew it wasn't anything to do with the lighting. When i saw this light and felt the Holy Spirit, it was better then any other drug i had done in my life. It made feel alive. Then and there i gave up all my Drugs and drinking, and gave my life to the lord. Got baptized a couple of weeks later, and started getting into the Local church In our town, and helping out with the Worship. Now i live life knowing there is more too it then Drugs , parties and building a fake life around mainstream music that doesn't actually really mean anything. So the music i write and play is for God and too help people come closer to him and feel his love and Mercy. Because if he can love a silly Druggy that i was, he can love you!
