Currently, Marcel is back in studio, working on his second album, with Kevin Leicher, producer for Gallo & Sony artists, such as Louise Carver, Josie Field, Arno Carstens, Chris Chameleon & many more. Sponsored by TeleReference Systems and Studio AMar, he is well on his way to becoming one of South Africas most talented artists. 

Marcel trains with choreographer, Daniel Swanepoel, four-time winner of the South African Freestyle Dance Championships & World Runner-up, in order to create a unique specialty act to suite any event. Over time, he has compiled a variety of songs, some of which are presented on his first album - released in 2011 & available in all Look & Listen stores nationwide. Marcels first single, Every Time I Close My Eyes, has been play listed on various radio stations, such as East Rand Radio, Tru FM, UJ FM & Bay FM. The accompanying music video was filmed at JET Nightclub & is available on YouTube for viewers to enjoy. Choreographed by Amy Rosslind, Nike Ambassador & winner of the Nike Dance to LA in 2006, it includes a variety of top industry dancers, such as Tumi Trent Tladi, Anuq Wilson, Delta Choshi & Triston Thorley.

In 2011, Marcel appeared on the Good Morning Africa TV Show (DSTV) & was interviewed on UJ FM, Tru FM, MPower FM, Radio Today & Jacaranda RMFM. He has had numerous album reviews, articles & interviews in print media, such as People Magazine, Amawinna Magazine, Teenzone, Style Your Life, DSTV Online, Look Local, The Comaro Chronicle, The Sandton Chronicle, The Fourways Review, The Citizen, The Rapport, The Beeld & Entertainment Africa.

Some of his major performances include The 16th Annual Sun City Million Dollar Pigeon Races at the Sun City Super Bowl, The FIFA Fan Festival at InnesFree Park Stadium, Mbombela FIFA Stadium, Good Morning Africa, Lusito Land Festival, Arts Festival of Southern Africa in 2010 & 2011, Vaalwater Wildsvees Festival, ANC Youth Day Celebration, CANSA Shavathon, CANSA Relay for Life, CANSA Movember Finale, Diabetes Walk, Annual Burn Foundation Benefit Show, SA Couture Model of The Year Fashion Show in 2012 & 2013, Markets of The World - Bruma Fashion Show, Cantare Talent Walk of Fame at Monte Casino, Mr/Miss Spring Beach at JET Nightclub, Miss Schools SA (National), Hillfox Markets, The Blues Room, Tanz Caf, UJ Theatre, Majestic Theatre, Gold Reef City Lyric Theatre & BackOThe Moon.

Marcel has also performed at various schools across South Africa, has acted in various short films, a theater production called Flying Kites with Boys at the Johannesburg Civic Fringe & performed as a hair/underwear model in the Schwarzkopf Essential Looks Hair Show (Tom Kroboth), representing Jeauval Salon. 

He is often seen supporting charities across the country. In 2010, he was actively involved with the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA), where he performed in a variety of events & live shows in support of the cause. In 2011, he performed for the Breast Health Foundation & the Burn Foundation - and from 2012 to the present, Marcel has been actively involved with Diabetes South Africa & Toys for Africa for which he is an ambassador alongside Heinz Winckler, Lloyd Cele, Matthew Booth & international model, Candice Boucher. Due to his love for animals, he is considering to become involved with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).
