Soundtrack composer, recording artist Marcel Rocha has a PhD in Music which discuss the expressive role of technology in what it regards to musical creation.
This kind of partnership between technology and music has been one very apparent in the works of Marcel which include sonic experiments in ethnic, electronic, ambient and industrial music.
For example, in his latest artistic works, "Ancient Computer Music" and "Tair", there's always this connection between contrasting styles such as traditional Brazilian music, Eastern melodies, African-rhythms, ambient sounds, jazz chords and distorted rock guitar solos that becomes possible through technology manipulation.
