Bio
MARCHAN DESHAUN
Songstress Marchan Deshaun, a native of Detroit, Michigan, is part of a line of great female artist from Motown. She has captured the hearts of many jazz and R&B music lovers across the metro area during the past year. At an early age, Marchan was exposed to various genres of music, including jazz, gospel, R&B/soul, classical, Motown and Opera. She found her niche’ and her home in several of those genres and started performing jazz, gospel, and R&B/soul around the Metro area. She spent several years performing with Stardom Productions, where she was the recipient of several awards.
Marchan just released her first single “Feeling Good” a Nina Simone cover, which is delivered beautifully through its rich arrangements and production. Marchan is currently planning her 2013 mini-tour and promotional stops across the Midwest. She is working with some of the top up and coming producers in the Midwest and looks to give her audience a breath of musical fresh air with her selections of great songs.
Marchan explains it as “God breaking her all the way down, to her acknowledgement that she honors and treasures her gift!” On the road to recovery, God ignited such a passion that singing has again become “as normal as breathing; so much so, that I can’t imagine doing one without the ability to do the other! “
Influenced by the vocal styles of Anita Baker, Gladys Knight, and Whitney Houston, Marchan DeShaun has developed a sound reminiscent of the music she grew up loving! Her voice captures and translates the emotion of every word!
One listen and you’ll understand her mantra—have voice; will sing!
Remember the name—Marchan DeShaun; you’ll find her performing venues throughout the Midwest.
