"About MARCH"

MARCH is a South Jakarta-based backbiting band. Kick starting their calling with the 2005 demo track- “Rise of The Imperfect”- these metal heads kept making things happen. With their emotionally abrasive and guitar-driven songs such as the crowd burner piece “Batas Nalar” and “Adore”, March has grown and shared stages with Seringai, Burgerkill, Rocket Rockers, and Killed by Butterfly; just to name a few of Indonesian forefront acts they modestly respect.

A small gig in mid 2006 has been the best foundation to further bring March into poised path. There, the band played their esteemed songs and made remarks on few names in the scene, as the figurehead of the noted band; Fall, the notorious journalist; Arian13, and the music director of one of the most reputable radio station in Jakarta approached the band’s manager and gave credits to the bunch’s fiery performance. “Awesome materials” and “heavy” are the roughly remembered compliments of that one hell of a night.

Within several years of comradeship, March has been through transitions of formation and hard times. But thanks to airplay, Myspace, guerrilla promotion, and ones who believe in such music, the ensemble is still striving for their very own actualization of ambition and still featured on cycle of local gigs, festival, and school parties with the current formation consists of Faddy on vocal, Erix on drums, and Ryan as well as Lale on guitar.

After spending the last few months up to their necks in blood and sweat, the foursome are finally ready with their first ever album. “We’ll keep pushing forward,” Lale says. “A lot of musical genres out there, but there is always a chance for us to do more, even with more people that don’t necessarily listen to metal and that’s become or biggest priority.”. So far on the process, March has pushed everything to its limit. Anytime now, it’s your turn to MARCH ON!
