ANDRE "MARCI-A-LAGO" WHINE
Jamaica, Queens, N.Y. is the birth place of Andre "Marci-a-lago Whine. Born on November 17th, 1987 to parents William Sims and Brenda Whine, the musical genius entered into this world. Growing up on the west side of Jamaica-Queens-Merrick Blvd & 119th, he experienced both the trials-n-tribulations of family and street life. Not succumbing totally to the street life itself, the life itself ignited a hidden gem from within. It was at the young age of 13 years old that he heard the music of a Queens native by the name of NAS who influenced him straight from the beginning. But, it was his best friend Aaron Waldron who pushed him just enough to begin his journey to become a success in the hip-hop world. He then began to listen and learn from his many influences, such as J. Dilla, Mobb Deep, Max B., Cassidy, Fabolous, The Diplomats, Eminem, Jay Z, and his biggest of all, 50 Cent and G-Unit. Thus, he bagan to rhyme over other artist beats to perfect his flow and timing. He heard the sounds of a underground group from Queens named "Black Orchid", that really solitfied his eagerness to enter the hip-hop world..It was then he began to record in studios to compile songs for his mix-tapes. Verse after verse, hook after hook, just flowed from him. To date, he has over 50 freestyle songs and two complete mix-tapes that can be heard on Reverbnation; as he is now #1 on there site.
Now writing complete songs, both appealing for the street and commercial radio, Marci-a-lago signed a recording contract with "Unda-Mind Records", an independent record label from Queens, N.Y. He has successfully performed at various shows and is half-way thru recording his debut album. His videos can be seen at youtube, reverbnation and other sites.
Marci-a-lago is truly young & gifted. He possess that New York, ball-playa swagga; and definately gets the love from the ladies. With his music being relevant for today and his dedication and determination: Marci is destined to be that next be Hip-Hop artist...Stay tune...
