"On Marc Jeffares' music"

"Marc's voice is unique and his songs are intriguing. He's one of the best up and coming artists I've heard."- Jason Wilber - Jason Wilber of the John Prine Band

"On "Ghost In My Bones""

"With a clear but refreshingly unadorned vocal, singer songwriter Marc Jeffares delivers lyrics that paint a clear and vivid scene of life and all it's pains and pleasures. Production wise, the cd sparkles with simplicity. Nothing too fancy, just good music and great melodies all the way around. Worth listening to time and time again, 'Ghost In My Bones' is the kind of record that you put in the player and leave there!" - Karen Reynolds (program director, host, WDVX)

Writing, living, and performing out of such diverse places as the coastal redwood country of Humboldt County, CA; the mountains of Colorado; and music history rich East Tennessee, Marc Jeffares uses the song to express the landscape, culture, emotions, and subconscious of the world around him. Writing songs that strike true in the imaginations of those for whom music is a necessity to help make sense of the good times, the bad times, and all the times in between, his music is sometimes fun, sometimes dark, but always honest. A dynamic and charismatic performer, he has been compared to Townes Van Zhandt and Bob Dylan, among others.

Marc Jeffares' debut studio album "Ghost In My Bones"(2008) was recorded, engineered, and produced by David Weber of Airtime Studios (Krista Detor, Carrie Newcomer, Tim Grimm) and features piano and vocal work by Krista Detor (CoraZong recording artist) and lead guitar by Jason Wilber (The John Prine Band, Iris Dement, Greg Brown, Todd Snider). It's a record that stands out in the sometimes crowded landscape of folk/country/americana, relating to and touching the young and old alike.
