Marck.t is a guitarist, but more specifically, a composer. With his electric mate that screeches, sings, rocks and rages in his hands, he plays out loud what everybody only dares to ponder. Passionate about music, fighting for its rights (Viva the freedom of speech and cultural diversity!), he loves every dimension of it. He’s a deep-felt music-maniac!

Marck.t has recorded many cds of which his latest solo project HANCKCIOUS. He is a deeply convinced artist, a convincing performer and a contagious guitar addict. The various styles that characterize his work depict his wide range of skills, his guitar playing mastery skills and foremost his wish to revolutionize the industry of music by blending the genres. Marck.t just isn’t like anything else that`s been heard. He’s himself playing his self; that’s the best way to describe it. He plays with his guts and his heart, his strings and his talented fingers. Pretention-free, ego-free and fake- free…. as authentic and daring as it can get.

Characterized by instrumental music, his style is truly unique. His guitar is simply his voice. He navigates between rock, blues, pop, classical, reggae, fusion jazz, world music… somewhere on the musical spectrum… it’s «styleless», but stylish just the same!

Armed with several years of experience as a composer and interpreter, he performs his own compositions and is a collaborator on many simultaneous albums. He works in parallel as a soundtrack composer and is always eager to take on new challenges.

One of his satellite projects is the internationally renowned band Spaced Out. Since the launching of the first power trio album: Eponymus II in 2001, he’s also been taking part to the recording of the last 4 albums of the group: Slow Gin (2003), Unstable Matter (2006), Live at Crescendo Festival (2006) and Evolution (2008) with another new album in progress to be released in 2012. He has been highly acknowledged on the international scene throughout prestigious musical festivals worldwide. Moreover, his intake on the 2011 Fafard’ solo album has given him the opportunity to co-star alongside famous Dave Weckle, Jerry De Villiers Jr, Magella Cormier and many more.

Marck.t is now working on his second solo album that he wishes to make not only as eclectic but as unpredictable as his first opus. Because renewing oneself is a must in the making of a singular universe.
