The magical experience of seeing raw clay become a detailed representation of a complete woman is unlike any live art performance I have ever seen.
The feedback we receive from audience members varies from awe to astonishment to sheer joy. We aim to inspire, and we seem to be successful. Marco Cochrane is quite literally the only figurative sculptor in the world doing such exquisitely detailed, personal work with women. It is also very rare for an artist, much less a sculptor, to reveal his craft, and allow others to become a part of the process of creation.
We recently produced a life size sculpture for a large venue on New Year's Eve. Others performers included Les Claypool, The Neville Brothers and the New Orleans Social Club. The event and the James Brown Tribute sculpture was a huge success. Another new life-size sculpture has been created since then, and a heroic size 10-foot armature has already been built for the next grand creation.
