During this last week of slow summer charts, Mac Demarco stayed at No. 1 for the third week while Beach House moved from No. 4 to No. 2, leaving us to wonder if they’ll make the push to No. 1 next week, finally dislodging Mr. DeMarco. La Luz moved down to No. 3, as Tame Impala moved up to No. 4. Wilco and Chelsea Wolfe remained in their positions (at No. 5 and No. 7, respectively), though Ben Folds and Ducktails are the current newbies to the Top 10 this week. The chart’s top mover was Radkey (our NMR cover feature) zooming an impressive 125 spots to No. 66 from No. 191. The top debut was Panda Bear at No. 18.
On the Hip Hop charts, Public Enemy stayed at No. 1 for their second week, and Ghostface Killah and Adrian Younge were just behind. Tunde Olaniran moved to No. 3 from No. 5, while Dr. Dre went the other direction, from No. 6 from No. 3. Newcomers to the top 10 include Trenton P at No. 8 and Marc Payne, the top mover, at No. 9 from last week’s No. 18. Vince Staples held the No. 10 spot for the second week in a row.
