Marcus Belmore should be older than he is. Barely into his twenties, Marcus uses influences as diverse and far-flung as chain gang hollers, Shakespeare, Delta blues, and American history to create songs that make them seem brand new.
A multi-instrumentalist who has played shows from the East Coast to Texas to the Caribbean, he brings an experience level to his performances that belies his years. He is a firm believer that a good song is a good song, regardless of genre and his list of influences backs that up.
From Johnny Cash to B.B. King, Bob Dylan to Ray LaMontagne, Marcus has absorbed their music and uses these innovators to bring you music that sounds original, fresh, and authentic, delivered in the type of deep, rich voice that has become increasingly rare in today’s musical environment.
