Margarita Landry (Born May 26th, 1997), professionally known as MARG, is an American Singer, Songwriter born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After moving to the U.S. as a young child, she became interested in performing arts and spent most of her time singing karaoke and learning instruments like the piano and violin. She started writing her own lyrics at age 13 with lyrical influences from acts like Nirvana, Ryan Adams, and Marcy Playground. By 16, MARG taught herself the guitar and started experimenting with writing full songs.
Moving around a lot as a kid and growing up in the internet age has played a large role in both the sound and emotion of her dark, moody music, which have been compared to modern day acts like Lorde and Lana Del Rey. At the age of eighteen she released her first, extended play MARG EP (2016). Her dark lyrics lure you in as her smooth melted velvety voice wraps you up and sings you a story. “Devils Got My Soul” was released as MARG’s debut single off the EP in late-2016 and instantly connected with her listeners, along with the twisted visual that she co directed and released with the song.
