"Marga Lane "Rebound" Song Review"

Then listen up!
Last summer I interviewed Marga Lane for BTB’s From Scratch section, spotlighting unsigned independent artists. And now,the singer/songwriter/New York native is back with a striking music video for her pop/soul-infused single, Rebound.

If you’ve ever been screwed over by a guy who likes to plays with balls — you know, basketball, football, that sort of thing — then this song is for you. Or pretty much anyone who’s been screwed over. That works, too. Yeah.

"Marga Lane "Rebound" Song Review"

Music Video:”Rebound”- Marga Lane, Brokenhearted By an Athlete

Being involved with an athlete is never an easy thing. For some reason, it is in an athlete’s DNA to lie and find a place into a woman’s heart fast. Not sure what it is, whether in grade school, college, the pros, overseas, or what not, aalot of my readers can relate to being in some type of relationship with one of those “jocks” that left you heartbroken.
I recently got an email from a woman who went through a nasty break up with an athlete who is now in the league and shall remain nameless. She channeled her energy and heartbreak into a song titled “Rebound” which seems to fit the song perfectly. With all the recent drama of basketball wives TV franchise and the never ending stereotype that all athletes cheat, this song comes from an empowering female perspective about being no one’s “rebound”. The singer, Marga Lane found herself in a situation with a college athlete and did what she knows best, took to her pen and paper and wrote a song about it…and yes it’s most definitely about a real player who is now in the NBA.

""Expressions" EP Review"

"The best part is that Marga Lane has every bit of the talent necessary to keep up with her amazing songwriting skills. This isn’t a songwriter that should ever be handing off her material for others to sing and perform; she has ounces of audibly-measurable talent and if this isn’t the sound of a determined artist giving it their all, well then I’ve honestly never heard it." - SBS - Sleeping Bag Studios
