MariaB was selected to perform at KINGDOM BOUND Festival of Darien Lake, NY. In July 2010 she was selected among the TOP 10 Indie Artists performing in Monterey, CA at SPIRIT WEST COAST. In the same year she received a MUSIC AWARD as TOP 10 SOLO FINALIST in Nashville, TN at Best Of The Blessed. Maria B grew up in sunny San Nicandro Garganico, close to the Southern Adriatic shores of Italy. She met and fell in love with her husband Joe, in romantic Bologna, they now lives in the USA. Maria B is an imaginative songwriter with a heart's vision to make a mark in the world. Maria B's musical influences include Pino Daniele, Ella, Mina, Alanis Morissette, U2, John Mayer, Edoardo Bennato etc...
She performs in coffee houses, private events, festivals, churches, conferences and camps both in Italy and the US. As a creative arts therapist specialized in music she uses music everyday in her private practice and when working in different schools.
Schools she attended: “Art, Music & Drama” at the Universita’ degli Studi di Bologna - DAMS; music history, harmony & theory with emphasis on voice also received from the Conservatorio di Musica “U. Giordano” in Foggia; Music Therapy at Temple University, Philadelphia, PA..
