Maria first came to people’s attention last year with the wonderful single All You Need. She’s recorded live radio sessions with both John Kennedy at Xfm and Janice Long at BBC Radio 2, and had radio play on Today FM and BBC 6 Music.

Maria Byrne is an Irish singer-songwriter from Cobh and spends her time between there and London. With a vocal talent that not only pleases the ears but also charms the heart, her second single “Home” was chosen by Jo Whiley as her featured track on BBC Radio 2 live in concert.

Maria and her band - The Broken String - are currently recording the debut album, ready for release in Summer 2011.
