Maria Coma

Maria Coma is a 24 year-old composer, pianist and singer from Barcelona who has devoted her life to music. She ventured into the realm of classical music from as early as six years old and then went on to study modern music and jazz, ultimately pursuing studies in composition and arrangements.
She dedicates her word to producing soundtracks for feature films and commercials.
As well as her solo project, Maria is involved in the musical project "u_mä" along with Pau Vallvé.
Following a year-long-tour performing on stages throughout Catalonia to promote the fist album from u_mä, Maria Coma Realeases her first solo album Linòleum (Amniòtic Records 2009).
Linòleum is a stunning album on which Maria Coma and Pau Vallvé (who produced the album) have endeavoured for a year and a half, having been confined to Pau's studio. This is a songwriter's album with highly personal songs. Maria Coma's impeccable voice stands out above the string and wind arrangements, backed with percussion and vocal choruses. This is and album that naturally fuses the pleasant sound of pop with the profund, musical richness of artists such as Hanne Hukkelberg, Joanna Newsom and Björk.
