Bio
Maria Due made a demo in 2007 with her own songs, after having played with several bands in the Kristiansand and Oslo areas. She met a man on the bus, who listened to the demo, loved it and set her in contact with the Norwegian producer Yngve Saetre. He has produced her first album that will be relased the autumn of 2009. Parallell with the recording Maria Due formed her own band, and have been playing at different venues in Oslo such as By: larm, Mono and Spasibar. She has also played in clubs in New York, Los Angeles and Cape Town. Maria Due has a strong presence on stage, and it is apparent that she and the band have lots of fun playing together. The music is inspired by different pop, folk, bossa, electronica and singer songwriter artists such as Stereolab, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchel, Cat Power and Brigitte Bardot.
