With the release of the “Es De Fantasia” album, Maria Elena breeds a fresh feel from some classic genres. With jazz-influenced instrumentation, a soulful vocal approach, and tons of pop sensibility, the record boasts the aesthetic blend of Art-pop with a Latino-fusion twist.
Elena pushes boundaries with this Spanish crossover album, heavy in flamenco feel and layered rhythms; a stark departure from her last album, the Americana/Folk themed "Hollow Bones", released in 2018.
