Maria Viskonti is releasing her 4th album in the fall of 2016, called "A Farewell to Your Arms". It is her comeback to music after six years of silence. She is stronger, more mature and more convincing than ever.
Maria Viskonti began her career at the age of 15 - composing and singing own material. The release of her first album "Burn the Bridge" brought her recognition throughout Denmark and the Danish music press were amazed by her fragile yet strong character. She forced the critics to admit that rock music is a matter of personality and honesty. The sound of the first album has already become legendary in modern Danish rock - it is timeless - stumbling between anger and insanity and beauty and sorrow. Love nonetheless.
In 2008 she released her second album "Time Breaks My Mind" which took her to new heights - manifested with a more mature and maybe slightly more modern series of compositions. Even though the sound of the songs might appear more old-fashioned in a blues and country inspired way.
Later Viskonti released an EP called "Knock Knock" with a new sound, leaning more towards the first album than the second, even though Maria has written songs that might be more conscious and unique than them of the second album. All this adds up to a strong and independent songwriter of the modern world.
