Marietta Fafouti and Band

Marietta Fafouti is composes songs, jingles and music for movies, documentaries, commercials, theatrical productions and musicals. The Fall of 2010 she launched her CD "Try a Little Romance" by Inner Ear and the producer Nick Aggloupas (aka Ottomo). On May 2012 she launched her second album “Homemade Joy” by Inner Ear and the producer Thodoris Zefkilis. Her single «Kookoobadi», a magic spell, became o hit on radio shows, as her previous one «Don’t stop». "Kookoobadi" was voted as "2012 Best Song". Both albums were among the 5 best albums of the year, in many music magazines and sites. "Homemade Joy" was voted as the best album for 2012. For the time being Marietta Fafouti is recording her new album, which will be released on October 2013.

While her music initially seems to flow from a carefree flirting with the musicals of the 60’s and the 70’s, it then dives into a contemporary pop romanticism and results to a rare blend of cinematic bliss and pop nonchalance. Ethereal vocals, tender lyrics, colorful imagery and dramatic love stories that end up in magic glades, everything comes alive through tripping melodies, sometimes happy, other times melancholic and in harmony with a performance full of freshness, nerve and theatricality they compose the songs of Marretta that provoke euphoric smiles but also emotion.
