Mario Sevayega

Mario Sevayega was a "First round Ballot selection" at the 2005 Grammy awards in the category of "Best New Artist" for his CD "Copper and Red", featuring acclaimed Drummer Matt Johnson of Jeff Buckley's "Grace" and most recently "Rufus Wainrwright.
Recently, Mario has been performing in mainly Los Angeles at the crown jewel of all L.A Rock club's "Key Club", in the VIP room "Plush Lounge", as well as New Yorks legendary "CBGB's Gallery".
Also in 2005 Mario performed at PEPSI ARENA a 20000 seat capacity arena in Albany New York as part of the WB network sponcered UCW event (promoted nationally in each market as a WB event).

Copper and Red was recorded in 2003, with Platinum record awarded Canadian producer , Claude Champagne, in Montreal Canada. Claude first heard Mario’s music when one of his studio engineers handed him a CD of some of the Sevayega solo recordings. Claude immediately asked to meet with Mario. The meeting was a smash hit! The two found a joyous sense of adventure when even discussing music, and the chemistry between them was obvious and undeniable. What would follow was a chance to make a demo recording that would later break down doors into corporate offices all over the music industry! Claude enlisted the help of one of the brightest Canadian rock guitarist’s, Hugo Perrault, to co-produce, assist with the arrangements, and perform on the demo/EP. Mario brought in friend and, “when available to play” bandmate, drummer Matt Johnson to lay down the drum tracks. The results were incredible, a new modern rock sound that was “New York City meets Montreal”!

The CD Copper and Red has caught the attention of highly respected Entertainment Lawyers, with the likes of Jeffrey Jacobson (Toni Braxton, Mick Taylor), expressing interest. A new limited distribution deal with Transworld Entertainment, coupled with an astonishingly hot new backing band (that have previous experience performing all over the world including: stints on the same bill with Ben Harper, The Redding Festival in England, and garnering accolades such as endorsement deals with major musical instrument companies, and features on network television), has everyone who is working with Mario, in good spirits, and with exceedingly high hopes!

Claude Champagne

Claude is one of the biggest producers in French Canada and has many Gold and Platinum selling records to his credit. He is also at the top of his game right now. Since 1996 he has been nominated for nine “Felix Awards” (Quebec Grammy’s) and has won an astounding six times! He has recorded the Russian Red Army choir and The San Francisco Symphony, and before we can type cast him he turns around and records a rock band, or a singer/songwriter.

Matt Johnson

Matt most recently was the drummer for 2002 Grammy award winning artist John Mayer. He has also played and recorded with Rufus Wainwright, Duncan Sheik, and Beth Orton. Matt first busted onto the Music scene as Drummer for Jeff Buckley. Anyone who has heard Jeff Buckley's “Grace”, need not any more experience to recognize Matt’s gift.

Hugo Perreault

Hugo is an incredibly gifted rock Guitarist formerly of the Canadian Gold record awarded band Okume’. Since his split from the band in 2002 he has been working with Claude both arranging and in some cases coproducing with him. “Copper and Red” is the third project that they have worked on to date.

Andy VanDette

Andy is one of the most respected Mastering Engineers from New York’s legendary Masterdisk studio! He has worked with many artists including “The Smashing Pumpkins” and “Uncle Cracker”. “Masterdisk's engineering staff has put the finishing touches on over 10,000 albums and boasts hundreds of gold and platinum awards.”

Anouk Lessard

The sound of a CD is nothing without a great CD design and photo’s to match, and Anouk is the best in Montreal! One of the most Recent bands that she worked with, “Les Respectables”, were opening for “the Rolling Stones” in the of summer 2002.
