Bio

Born in wild, wonderful West Virginia, Marium Bria spent most of her childhood in the woods strumming the youth-size, acoustic guitar her father bought for her at the age of eleven.
During her teenage years, Bria joined a rock band called Paradox;
" We played a lot of hard rock, which was fun at the time, but even then I knew that particular style of music did not define who I was; I still played acoustic, folk music on my back porch when I was alone."
Now, with her debut album entitled " Billet Doux, " (a compilation of acoustic love songs) Marium has been able to put her songs into the hands of music lovers everywhere.
" I relish playing and singing for people and connecting with them; I write about things we all go through, the good days and the bad, the bitter and the sweet."
Bria's music has been categorized into the folk genre, though often takes an eclectic turn into sultry blues and jazz tunes, all which radiate the warmer, more hopeful side of romance.
As an "Old Soul," her influences have been music icons such as Etta James, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, and Blind Willie Johnson, to name a few.
Bria plays and sings in intimate settings throughout; bringing her soulful music and whimsical personality everywhere she goes.
