Bio
Marjorie Searcy is a singer-songwriter with a powerful voice and great vocal range. Marjorie has been singing professionally for 20 years. She has performed many styles of music including pop, rock, jazz, gospel, country and classical.
The songs on her latest project are autobiographical in nature. The style is a soulful blend of rock, folk, country and blues with honest, artful and sometimes edgy lyrics. She is a survivor of childhood abuse and domestic violence. She sings and speaks about her childhood and her recovery. A portion of the sales of her new project will go to benefit the Battered Women’s Shelter of Baton Rouge and Faith House of Lafayette, LA.
Marjorie is a native of Tennessee, graduate of Belmont University in Nashville and a sought after vocal coach, teaching from her studio in Lafayette, LA.
