Often referred to as a musical rubix cube. Markádam ,with his mix of folk-pop-rock-soul has made an art form out of being musically confused.

Biography

Born and bred in the hills of North Carolina, amidst the decedents of moonshiners, holy rollers and mountain drifters, Markádam has been submersed in music since his childhood. Often referred to as a musical rubix cube, Markádam has made an art form out of being musically obscure. A unique mix of Pop-Rock-Soul and Folk arm Markádam with something a little different that that of the artists that have risen over the past few years.

A gypsy by birth Markádam has spent most of the past three years on the road, from colleges to festivals to theaters and coffeehouses, he has taken his music to the people. With 4 albums under his belt, his grass roots “plan of conversion” is taking effect one by one. From his debut album A Long Time Coming to his latest release Fortune Teller, Markádam has evolved as a singer-songwriter through the years, invoking artists of the past while weaving a new musical fusion of his own, he has managed to create a unique blend of song and music.

Opening for artists like EmmyLou Harris, Shelby Lynne, Nickel Creek, Roseanne Cash and The Kinleys.. just to name a few.. :-) has kept this Carolinian riding to coatails of his influeces, all while hoping to step out on his own with his forth coming 2008 release. Since his 1999 debut single, "Carefree World," the Carolina native has racked up his share of success, both on radio and with critics. He's scored 2 College/NPR radio hits with his debut CD (including "Lay Down My Mind") and earned nominations from INDIE artist network and the Carolina Arts Centré.

2007 finds Markádam hitting the road as well as the studio, with a full release planned for 2008 he is plotting a grassroots take over, all via the ever so lovely method of music.

Just Maybe

Written By: Markádam

Well mabye I really love you
Maybe you just don't care, no
Maybe I believed all your little lies
Ah maybe, baby I still want you here with me

Maybe I still taste your body on my lips
In my mind I trace your spine with my finger tips
This sinful craving that I have inside for you
You know there's no one else that would do you like I do

Let the waters part
Let the sky fall from above
Just take me now make me with your sweet love
An angel in love with the devil could never be
But the way I feel for you... Well just maybe.... Just maybe

Use me all you want, well I'll be your little boy
Make me shake me baby I'll be your loving toy
Anything you want well it's not to much to ask
Throw my pride to the side and just give me your love fast

Whoa....
Let the waters part
Let the sky fall from above
Just take me now make me with your sweet love
An angel in love with the devil could never be
But the way I feel for you... Well just maybe.... Just maybe

Let the waters part
Let the sky fall from above
Just take me now make me with your sweet love
An angel in love with the devil could never be
But the way I feel for you... Well just maybe.... Just maybe

Maybe I really love you.... Maybe you just don't care.... You just don't care

Love (Make Me Home)

Written By: Markádam

Well how long must I wait
And how long is love supposed to take
And must I continue to see
This emptiness that's following me

Well I'm waiting for someone to adore
To make me laugh, make me smile, rock my world
And is it to much to ask for someone to hold my hand please love won't you hurry, hurry fast

Won't you hurry fast...

Oh love.... can you hear me when I say
That I..... am ready for you to take me away
I want you..to please come along baby
Oh love.... won't you make me home, won't you make me home, won't you make me home

So I'm a little tired of talking to myself
Looking over thinking there's someone there
And I can try to make believe
But I know there's always an empty seat sitting right there by me

When the night falls and the loneliness nears
When I'm at my weakest it's hard to hold back these tears
And as I cry I try to figure out
Why love is so cruel and why has it left me out
I wanna scream and shout

Oh love.... can you hear me when I say
That I..... am ready for you to take me away
I want you..to please come along baby
Oh love.... won't you make me home, won't you make me home, won't you make me home

Oh love.... can you here me when I say

Oh love.... Oh love.... Oh love....
