Biography

Mark Arshak is a true diciple of the blues. Born in Detroit. Raised in Texas And Mississippi. Learning first hand from older players and copping licks from records. influences are many including Muddy Waters, Hubert Sumlin, B.B. King, Albert Collins, Albert King, Guitar Slim, John Lee Hooker, Bo Diddley, Hound Dog Taylor, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Son Seals, Otis Rush and Elmore James. Opened up for many including Buddy Guy, Bo Diddley, Otis Rush, Jonny Lang, George Thorogood, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Little Richard, Taj Mahal, Bernard Allison, Carl Wethersby, and James Cotton. Toured as lead guitar for Shirley King. (B.B.'s daughter) The Mark Arshak Band delivers a high energy show which pleases traditional blues lovers and converts many skeptics into new blues fans.
