Bio

The Mark Cross Band began with singer/songwriter Mark Cross performing and writing as a solo acoustic artist as a junior in high school. After a few months, Mark was introduced to Hunter Van Dam (Bass) who would later introduce him to John Butzer (Electric Guitar) and Kevin Lopez (Drums and Percussion) all of which have been playing and studying music their whole lives. All of the members, between the ages of 18 and 19, now make up the Mark Cross Band. The band began learning and arranging the original material Mark had written until they had successfully created a long and clean enough set to play in front of a live audience. As their song list increased, so did the number of fans at each show. They recorded an EP at a local studio and began playing regularly in their area of Southern California. After half a year of performing and writing new material, the band began working on their first ever full-length album titled “Life Rolls On”. The project was cut short as the band began their first US tour from Chicago to Los Angeles. The band played 22 stops over the course of a month. The tour included radio air-play, TV interviews, and several newspaper spots in eight different states across America. Upon returning to California, the band finished their album and released it nationwide on all major distribution websites including iTunes. The album instantly created buzz in the local area as well as the other states that the band had recently visited. With all of this happening so quickly, it is exciting to see what the Mark Cross Band can do in the future.
