Burn Him Down

Written By: Mark Davenport

Burn Him Down

She thinks he’s gonna show
She thinks he’s gonna come
She thinks he’s gonna drive up in the yard.
I think he’s out of town
I think he’s on the road
I think he’s gonna to tear her heart right out
I don’t know what she wants
I don’t know what she needs
Don’t know what to tell her friends
I’m tired of trying to guess
I’m tired of all these sounds
And when he burns her down
I hope I’m not around.

He thinks he got away
He thinks he’s got it made
He thinks he’s gonna do it all again
I think she’ll be o.k.
I think she’ll be alright
I think she’s gonna walk with me tonight
I think I’ll make her see
That what she needs is me
What we have is free
We’re gonna take a chance
We’re gonna do the dance
And if he comes around
I’m gonna burn him down.

He’ll be taking a chance if he shows himself anywhere close to her place
Man I just can’t wait to wipe that smirk right off his face

If There's A Chance

Written By: Mark Davenport

If there’s a chance
I might be leaving here with you
Tell me what I’ve got to do
Don’t say no
Girl it happens all the time
When the water tastes like wine
That’s when I knew you were mine.

If there’s a chance
I might be lying next to you
Tell me what I’ve got to do
Don’t say no
Girl it happens all the time
When the water tastes like wine
That’s when I knew you were mine.

And there’s no need to play it cool
I won’t make her play the fool –
The way that boy makes her
When she cries
I just can’t take it
I could set her free
She could be with me
She could be with me.
