Bio
Born and raised in Nashville, self-taught but style informed in high school playing rhythm and lead guitar in jazz band and singing tenor, bass, and baritone in madrigal choir
1995-6 Played guitar, vox in Nashville experimental pop-core band Hai-Ya Phonics
1999-2000 Played guitar, keys, vox in Nashville space-rock band Harmonium (1 full-length "Waiting For Transmission" 1998, played CMJ, courted by V2 records, other members went on to form current local acts Aireline and De Novo Dahl).
2001 Recorded full-length demo as Tsomi Dahl
2002 Collaborated with Madison, Wisconsin artist Ivan Klipstein/Ivan Okay on 7" single "Double Duet"
2002-3 Played pedal steel guitar for Madison, Wisconsin soul-rock band Jasper Vas
Now playing alone, or with whatever ragged army of musicians he can assemble for the occasion, Mark's music has often been compared with his influences Jeff Buckley, Van Morrison, Ron Sexsmith, and Rufus Wainwright.
