Bio
Performing on guitar and vocals since birth...OK, age 12, Mark has been captivating audiences for nearly 4 decades. During the journey from band front man, to soloist in pubs, wedding singer, singer songwriter, and recording artist, Mark has learned a thing or two about how to hold an audience and deliver a show.
He has been playing his own diverse mix of comedic, personal, and socio-political songs since releasing his CD "They went North" in 1995.
“At Home Alone” his 6th CD, was released on April fools day of 2012. This is no small coincidence...you betcha!
When appearing as "The Mark Fisher Trio" with his sister Donna on vocals and Kris Lucander on bass and piano, the group focusses on tight three part harmony ala: The Beatles, CSN, Everly Brothers and Simon & Garfunkle.
Mark has performed at the South Florida Folk Festival as a finalist in their national songwriting competition, and has won two awards for “Best Male Vocalist” & “Best Solo Performer” and has been a three time nominee as “ Best Folk Act” in the Worcester Phoenix music poll. Mark also teaches a songwriting course at the MWC College in Gardner MA.
Along with his catalog of original music, sets may contain familiar chestnuts and songs from the blues, some standards, and jug-band hits, Mark Frederick Fisher entertains with music, stories and fun.
