Mark Hussey

Predominantly Blues with mixings of many sub genres, from Southern Soul to Rock & Roll. Obviously, being inspired by iconic figures in music history, artists like Van Morrison, Eric Clapton and B.B. King, shows in Husseys sound. This is a man who clearly loves his music, whether its Blues, Jazz or Rock & Roll. Of course the lashings of Soul, Rock and everything else have helped Mr. Hussey achieve a sound which could easily be declared as the blues of the 60s for the new generation. I must admit, whilst listening, I often found my legs twitching about the place, just itching for me to have a little jig to the sounds of Mark Hussey. Its somewhat, refreshingly classical. Having twanged his first chord just over 20 years ago, Hussey has had sizeable experience in the world of music, also being involved in Oxford based band The Pussycats managing and fronting them on their tours. Claiming that hell work with anyone if he likes their style, its clear that the production side of things, when it comes to Husseys music is just as important as the sound itself. It seems the music industry is in the veins of Mark Hussey, and thats not a bad thing to have, if you want to become the next Blues icon. - idio mag
