Markiee j, a native New York City musician/singer/songwriter was born in Brownsville, Brooklyn and grew up in the Sheepshead Bay neighborhood. Like a chameleon who changes to another color, and unlike one who can only change from one to one other, Markiee easily shifts gears, writing and performing music ranging from hard, progressive and melodic rock, metal, funk, rock/jazz fusion, world beat, pop/rock, adult alternative, reggae, folk rock, blues, avante garde and beyond. Hey, this is a short bio but the music is what it is all about, right? Markiee is currently in the studio with the amazing and visionary producer and musician Philip Carrol. Having recently been chosen to perform at M.E.A.N.E.Y. FEST, Markiee and his crew are turning a lot of people's heads. Listen up people!! - the New York streets are buzzing about Markiee j and his band “No romance” and when New York shouts, the whole house starts rockin’.
