mark jeffrey morris

Mark Morris grew up in the mountians of colorado where he was influenced by local acts like Willie Nelson and John Mcuen. Mark Began playing the guitar at age 12 and by the time he finished high school had a band of his own that toured states from Colorado to Washington. Interested in Jazz he attended the University of Colorado at Denver and studied under guitar master Paul Musso. There he joined the UCD signature ensemble "The Claim Jumpers". During that time he was also mentored by Ross Martin where he learned the more traditional aspect of bluegrass. Now he records his own music and plays across Colorado with some of the states best bluegrass musicians. Mark also recently joined the internationally recognized band the "Hickory Project" as lead guitar and vocalist.
