Bio
A native of Toronto, Ontario Canada, Mark Nelson is a singer/songwriter whose musical journey has taken him across North America in Jazz Festivals and concerts from Toronto’s du Maurier Jazz Festival and the World famous Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York, to premier venues of the Underground Soul music scene in the Southeast. A lover of theater, he has also acted and/or served as a Musical Director in critically acclaimed works such as “Mahalia” starring Bernadine Mitchell and the gospel stage play “Green Grass”. He has penned songs and done production for gospel and R&B/Soul artists and now steps into the spotlight to release his solo project “Acoustic Intimacy”.
