Mark is a singer/songwriter and acoustic guitarist who employs an interesting mixture of Island music and comedy songs using props and audience interaction to create a fun atmoshere. He is funny and unique in his comments , and you will never know what to expect next from this excellent entertainer


Mark Northey has been a successful entertainer since the Mid-70's who has a huge song library, focusing on boat and beach music. Influenced by Jimmy Buffett, with whom he has performed , Mark has traveled the country fom Ann Arbor, MI to Tempe, AZ to The Fla. Keys,to Mackinac Island , honing his craft as one of the nation's finest entertainers. He posseses a fine voice,charismatic stage presence, and great sense of humor, which endears him to all audiences. He's got ship loads of stories from his travels, which appear in his show and songs. He spends summers at Lake of The Ozarks, Mo. winters in Ft. Myers. Fla, and as a result ,has a large regional fan base. Many newspaper and magazine articles and TV appearances have made him a well-known figure in the TROP ROCK genre. His songs are featured on both air and internet radio stations such as "Bob & Tom", Tropical Dreams, Migration Music, Radio Margaritaville and more. He has opened fpr Tim Allen, David Spade, Elvin Bishop. He has peformed at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville and Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurants, and for various Parrothead Clubs, as well as the annual "Meeting of the Minds" in New Orleans and Key West. Mark has also appeared as a college-concert solo, and for Michael Moore and the Flint Voice in 1982. He was even in a Beatles cover band in the 80s, called "P.S. I Love You" singing "Paul "and "John". Mark has won several songwriting contests in both MI and AZ, with "Behind His Old Guitar", "Bombs Away" "My Mother's Prayers", and "You're A Mess".'Bombs Away" was featured on "CNN Live" Mark has been considered and voted Best Entertainer at The Lake of The Ozarks, where he has played for 10 of the last 12 years at the, notoriously popular Captain's Galley, still his summer "home base". His winter standing gig has been at the Lani Kai Resort, Ft. Myers Beach for 8 of the last 10 years. Mark Northey is a Midwest and Florida music legend who still jokes about everything---even getting old!
