Markt-pronounced MARKED is a four piece melodic new era rock band from the southern california area Palm Springs. They orginally formed in March of 2005 in Bass player-Joey Oliveros' garage. With the "pop punk" era growing and then suddenly ending, Markt wanted to bring in a style that was the original heavy metal of the early eighties, and bring in a new style with catchy vocals and melodic harmonys. Their individual interests in music bring a wide variety of sounds to the band. From pop punk bands such as Blink 182 and the Ataris, to Iron Maiden and thrice. We will stand alone in a genre thats hard to describe which will bring back what the new generation of music lovers are looking to hear. While still up in coming as a local band, Markt is sure to catch on fast as they have already toured the west coast and canada. Be ready to catch them in concert and watch in awe as you will be blown away by their amazing shows.
