The Marktavious Story
18 year old Marktavious is different. As he walks the campus of Prairie View A&M, he catches the eye of every person he passes. The shocking stares turn into intriguing glares, this is all because of one thing; His hair. The mohawk has been a style of choice for ages, but no one wears it quite like Marktavious. The colors may vary, but right now he's rocking a blonde hawk with a big red batch in the front. People may wonder why he decided on this style and he would simply tell them "to get your attention". Once he gets that attention, you will see Marktavious is far more than just a guy with a cool hairstyle, he’s a singer, a writer, a dancer and music’s fresh new talent.
Marktavious was Born May 17th, 1990 in Memphis, TN, the birth places of many genres of music such as Blues, Gospel and Rock n Roll. At 15 after a couple moves he landed in McKinney, Texas, a small city outside of Dallas, and began getting serious about music. He began recording with his dads, Chris Edwards, record company Blu House Recordings.
After years of recording, in 2008 Marktavious and Blu House recordings released his first official mixtape which received positive reviews from friends and fans alike. During the process of putting together this mixtape Marktavious met with Felicia Keith to write two tracks. Felicia then went from writing for Marktavious, to putting him on her record label Superior Minds Entertainment. This brings us to present time, where Marktavious is continuing to work hard in order to make his dreams a reality.
