Rapper Mark Universe of Mobile will appear and perform Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. during a CD release party at the F.Y.E. store in Madison Square Mall.

Universe's newest release is titled "I'm a Superstar." He has collaborated with the likes of Grammy nominated Tamar Davis, who also stars in Tyler Perry's "The Marriage Counselor." He also appeared as an extra in Tyler Perry's movie "Meet the Browns."

Universe says his name has multiple meanings. "M.a.r.k. is an acronym that stands for made a righteous king and Universe means one verse," he said. "One verse from the Bible changed my whole life and way of thinking. One verse of my lyrics will make you a fan."
